Frequently Asked Questions

Everything travelers ask us before booking a buggy, quad, safari or balloon tour — pricing, safety, age limits and what happens on the day.

Booking & Pricing

How much does it cost to rent a dune buggy in Dubai?

Dune buggy tours start from AED 600 for a 2 Seater Polaris RZR 1000cc, AED 800 for the 4 Seater Polaris, and AED 999 for the 2 Seater Can-Am Maverick X3. Every price covers the full buggy, so two or four people ride for one price, with a guided tour and unlimited mineral water included. You can pick a 30, 60 or 120 minute ride.

Can I book a desert safari in Dubai for the same day?

Yes — we take same-day bookings 24/7, and evening safari pickups run daily from Dubai and Sharjah hotels. Send us a WhatsApp message before noon and we can usually confirm your seat for that evening's safari with BBQ dinner. You'll get your exact pickup time by message before we arrive.

Do you pick me up from my hotel for the desert safari?

Yes, desert safari packages include pickup and drop-off from your hotel, home or apartment in Dubai or Sharjah. Morning safaris collect you between 7:30 and 8:00 AM, and evening safaris in the afternoon, with the exact time confirmed the day before. For buggy and quad tours, we send you the meeting point or arrange transfer when you book.

How much is a hot air balloon ride in Dubai and when does it fly?

Hot air balloon flights start at AED 1049 per person for the Standard package, with Deluxe at AED 1149 adding a gourmet camp breakfast, camel ride and falconry, and Premium at AED 1399 adding a morning safari and quad biking. Flights launch at sunrise with hotel pickup between 3:45 and 4:30 AM, and you fly 45–60 minutes depending on the weather. Balloons pause each summer from June to August and resume from 1 September.

Which payment methods do you accept, and how do I confirm my booking?

We accept secure online card payments in AED, and advance payment confirms your booking. Book through our online form in minutes or message us on WhatsApp, and you'll get a written confirmation with your package, time and price so there are no surprises.

Can I cancel or reschedule my desert tour for free?

Yes — plans change, and we make rescheduling easy with free date changes when you give us reasonable notice. Cancellation terms depend on the package and how close to pickup you cancel, and the full details are on our cancellation policy page. Weather cancellations, like a balloon flight called off for wind, are rebooked or refunded in full.

Safety & Requirements

Are you a licensed and insured tour operator in Dubai?

Yes, we are a licensed Dubai desert tour operator, and dune bashing is driven only by desert-safari-licensed professional drivers. All riders get helmets, goggles and a full safety briefing before any buggy, quad or dirt bike ride. Safety gear is included in every price — you never pay extra for it.

How old do my kids need to be for quad biking or the buggy tours?

Children can join the desert safari from age 5, ride kids' quads in the fenced area from 5 to 11, and toddlers aged 2–3 join the safari free. To drive a dune buggy or full-size quad you need to be an adult; younger teens ride as passengers with parents. Tell us the ages when you book and we'll set up the right vehicles for your family.

What should I wear for a dune buggy ride in the desert?

Wear light, comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes and high-SPF sunscreen — the desert sun is strong even in winter. We provide helmets and goggles, so you don't need any riding gear of your own. In winter evenings bring a light jacket, because the desert cools down fast after sunset.

Do I need a driving licence to drive a dune buggy or quad bike in Dubai?

No driving licence is needed — our tours run on private desert terrain with a guide, not public roads. You get a full driving briefing before you start, and the guide leads the route the whole way. First-timers are welcome; most of our riders have never driven a buggy before.

Is dune buggy riding in Dubai safe for beginners and first-timers?

Yes — every tour starts with a safety briefing, you ride behind a professional guide, and the buggies have roll cages, harnesses and helmets as standard. The COBRA quad runs in a fenced area, which is perfect for nervous first-timers, while open-desert rides suit anyone comfortable after the briefing. Thousands of first-time riders finish our tours every season with nothing but photos and a big grin.

Tours & Activities

Where can I rent a dune buggy near me in Dubai?

We run guided dune buggy tours in Dubai's red dune desert, about 35–45 minutes from Downtown, Dubai Marina and most hotels. You choose a Polaris RZR or Can-Am Maverick X3, we handle the rest — briefing, safety gear and a guide who leads you through the dunes. Message us on WhatsApp at +971 52 440 9525 and you can be riding the same day.

What is included in the evening desert safari with BBQ dinner?

The evening safari includes hotel pickup, 25–30 minutes of dune bashing in a Land Cruiser 4x4, camel riding, sandboarding photos at sunset, henna painting and unlimited soft drinks at the camp. Dinner is an international BBQ buffet with veg and non-veg dishes, plus live belly dance, fire show and Tanura dance on stage. It's AED 375 per person including a 30 minute quad bike ride.

What is the difference between the morning desert safari and the evening desert safari?

The morning safari (AED 225) is shorter and cooler — dune bashing, sandboarding, camel riding and sunrise views, back at your hotel by 12:30 PM. The evening safari (AED 375) adds the full desert camp experience: sunset, henna, BBQ dinner buffet and live shows, returning around 9:30 PM. Families with young kids often prefer the morning; the evening is the classic full Dubai desert night.

Can I get a private desert safari just for my family or group?

Yes — the Private Evening Desert Safari is AED 1400 per Land Cruiser for up to 6 people, so the car, the dune bashing and the camp table are yours alone. It includes the same 16-step evening experience: pickup, dune bashing, camel ride, henna, BBQ dinner and the live shows. Private morning safaris and private balloon flights are also available on request.
